EVACUATION ORDERED
GERMAN BORDER TOWN MUST WALK TO COLOGNE (Reed. Sept. 19, 9 a.m.) BRUSSELS. Sept. 17. All families in Aachen, or Aix-la-Chapelle, have been instructed to evacuate the town, tout only the aged and infirm will be allowed to travel by train and car, The others, including children over 12 years a>nd women without children, must walk the journey to Cologne, which will take three days.
Each person must carry his own food, and a maximum of 331 b of luggage is allowed. All other property must be abandoned.
The inhabitants have been warned that efforts to escape to Belgium or Holland will result in the confiscation of all their possessions.
