AUTOMOBILE PATROLS

MR. G. V. MERTON TO STAY

mr. McGregor for north

Advice has been received by Mr. G. McGregor, agent for the Automobile Association, that Mr. G. V. Merton, relieving resident patrol, has been appointed to Gisborne permanently. Mr D M McGregor, who went on patrol duty in Fiji during the winter months and who has been resident patrol in the Gisborne district for some years, has been appointed to the Whangarei district. The Gisborne agency also has been advised that the council of the Autonobile Association had decided that members who enlisted for service with die defence forces would be maintained as members throughout their absence free of cost to them.
