Plunket Society
The- monthly meeting of the Gisborne branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Plunket rooms yesterday afternoon, members present Included' Mesdames J. Blair, chairman, I. F. Pufflett, W. E. Goffe, J. O. Musgrave. Fogden, J. S. Wauchop, J. deV. W. Blathwayt, G. C. Jones, H. H. DeCosta, T. Caeser, A. Murray Scott, and Miss Leipst. Apologies fqr absence were received from Mesdames A. M. Welham. H. D. Chrisp. H. L. Primrose and D. E. Chrisp. It,was stated that Nurse Preston would be cue for her annual leave on October 1, and that Nurse Tonkin would resume her duties on that date. The sum of £5 was voted to the Truby King memorial fund, following a reading of the donation list, which, closes at the end of the month. Alwarm vole of thanks was passed to Mrs. Fodgen for her services inclearing up the premises used as headquarters for the annual flower day appeal.
Do not let the tea “stew” for someone .who will be a little late home. Pour it-off into a second heated teapot, and put a cork in the spout to retain the heat.
