WINS FOR GISBORNE OLD BOYS B IN FORM Three friendly matches were played at the Oval on Saturday, each game resulting in a win for the Gisborne club team taking part. In the curtain-raiser to the senior fixture, Old Boys B had a very easy victory over Wairoa Athletic juniors, the final score being 36 points to ml in favour of Old Boys. For the winners, Barbour (4), Russell and Harris scored tries. Sebire converted two and .kicked a penalty goal, Harris also goaling one penalty. Eastwood and Hyde converted a try apiece, Hyde also scoring four points from a field goal. The referee was Mr. Gabolinscy.

Gisborne Marist third grade players had an easy win at the expense of Napier Marist, the home team winning by 25 points to 3. For the winners, Kane (2), Lee, Williamson and Geddes scored tries,, Lennane converting two and kicking a penalty goal. McDonald scored the only try for Napier. The referee was Mr. T. J. Kay.

Scoring two unconverted tries, Old Boys thirds beat Wairoa Athletic third grade players by 6 points to 5 after a keenly-fought game. The referee was Mr. E. Sharpe.
