THE SUMMIT OF INVENTIVENESS. —No one has ever doubted that the rivalry between the creators of fashion in Paris is great, but the inventiveness displayed in this party dress proves that they are still working at high pressure to outdo each other. The model is of white tulle and a row of black lace fans with fluttering loops of ribbon has been sewn round the skirt, which is as full as a crinoline. To the ensemble also belongs a fan with flowers attached; as a special touch it is furnished with two peep-holes so that it also can serve as a mask.
