FAT SHEEP NUMEROUS MATAWIIERO STOCK SALE A record yarding of fat sheep was offered to a good attendance of buyers at the Malawhero stock sale to-day, the sale being brisk, with a keen demand. Beef For the entry of 10 there was a keen sale at advanced prices. Good average finished Hereford cows made £7 17s, £8 Is and £8 11s. Jersey cows of medium frame and average finish sold at £5 and £5 Gs. Prices: Cows.—One, Hereford, £8 11s; 3, Hereford, £8 Is; 3, Hereford, £7 17s; 1, Jersey, £5 6s; 1. Jersey, medium finish, £5; 1 black Jersey cross steer, medium weight, £7 3s. Fat Sheep There was a record yarding for recent times of 844 fat sheep. First ewes dropped about 3s, and others in many cases 4s and ss. The highest values were 18s 7d and 19s 7d. A few sold at from 11s 3d to 13s 3d. Despite the heavy yarding the sale was brisk, with a good demand. Outstanding hoggets made 19s 7d, and second grade ewes from 10s to 10s 4d. Prices:—

Hoggets.—Forty-eight, on account of Mr. G. .Mills, an outstanding pen, light two-tooth wethers, prime, 19s 7d.
