RUSSIAN MOBILISATION

DISCONCERTING TO BERLIN GUARDING OF FRONTIER (Reed. Sept. 15, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 14. The Rotterdam correspondent of The Times states that official circles in Berlin are disconcerted at the extent of the Russian mobilisation. Those professing to believe in the sincerity of Russian-German friendship expected the mobilisation of 1,000,000 men to guard the RussianPolish frontier and possibly to occupy certain districts in East Poland.

The Wilheimstrasse is at loss to explain the calling up of 2,000,000 men to man the whole frontier from Rumania .to Finland, but it still hopes that Russia will be dragged in on Germany’s side.
