QUICK MAXIMUM OUTPUT

MUNITIONS IN BRITAIN APPEAL TO MAKERS (Reed. Sept. 15, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 13. In the House of Commons, the Minister of Supply, Dr. E. L. Burgln, announced that all firms engaged in the manufacture of munitions had been asked to proceed on a basis of full capacity. Steps are being taken to expedite the construction of additional plant in factories. The Minister of Supply was seeking a maximum output in a minimum time, he said. People engaged in munitions work were serving the country well, and it would not be in the national interest to disturb them unduly. Women ultimately would do a large proportion of the semi-skilled work.
