SHIPPING DELAYED
BOISTEROUS CONDITIONS WEST COAST STORM (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The severe westerly weather of the past few days has dislocated all shipping movements on the west coast. Heavy seas are being experienced and practically all bars have been unworkable, either for inward or outward shipping. The Anchor Line motor-vessel Alexander, which left Greymouth for Dargavilie on Tuesday, advised that she was hove-to at sea off Kaipara Heads. ' Conditions had made the crossing of the Kaipara Bar impossible. At.Hokianga.the bat;.is. also unworkable. r -
The Northern Steamship Company’s motor-vessel Ronaki, after loading at Onehunga for New Plymouth and Wanganui, went to Manukau Heads yesterday morning and, after waiting all day for an improvement in conditions on the Manukau Bar, returned to Onehunga in the late afternoon. Boisterous weather also has been ruling in the Hauraki Gulf.
