Doubtless influenced by the prospects that many men may be called for national service, there has been a boom in. weddings in Gisborne since September 1. Last year, between September 1 and 14, the number of marriage licenses issued in Gisborne was six. This month, from September 1 to 13 inclusive,. 14 licenses have been issued.
