TO SEW FOR SOLDIERS
More than 100 Wellington women, representing a variety of organisations, this week expressed their willingness to do all they could to provide for the comfort of the men in the field. They attended a meeting, called by the Mayoress of Wellington, Mrs. T. C. A. Hislop. Arrangements were made to set up sewing groups controlled by a central executive. It was stated that wool would be issued at the central depot of the Town Hall in a week.
