FOOD GIFT TO BRITAIN
AUSTRALIAN PROPOSAL
(Reed. Scot. 13, 2.10 p.m.) CANBERRA, Sept. 13. The Federal Leader of the Opposition Mr. J- Curtin, resuming the debate on the Budget in the House of ’ Representatives, suggested that as Australia had immense food resources, the Budget should provide for a gift of £1,000,000 worth of food supplies to the people of Britain.
