SOUTHLAND FOOTBALLER AIR TRIP TO REJOIN TEAM Combining matrimony* with Rugby, Mr. J. W. Fleming, the full-back inthe Southland muring team, made a record for a touring team when he married Miss Kathleen Fitzgerald, of Wellington, in Auckland on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday he flew / to New Plymouth by a Union Airways to rejoin his team mates at Stratford, where Southland played Taranaki yesterday. Mrs. Fleming returned to Wellington. The coming event was celebrated at an Auckland hotel on Sunday evening when members of the touring team presented Mr. Fleming and his bride-to-be with a set of cutlery. The marriage took place at the Mount Eden Presbyterian Church. Presen'ations were also made by the team members to both managers,' Messrs. T. C. Pryde and G. Brown, who had had ’ their birthdays during the northern tour.
