WRESTLING- AMATEURS HAWKE’S BAY TOURNEY A. CAMPBELL’S SUCCESS The Gisborne heavyweight amateur wrestler, Archie Campbell, won the Hawke’s Bay title in Hastings on Saturday night. He defeated Peter Razos, Hastings, a former New Zealand welterweight champion, by two falls in the final bout. Campbell has wrestled several times in preliminary bouts in Gisborne, but only recently has he shown real promise. He is a former representative football forward, and extremely powerful. In recent weeks he has received intensive coaching from Mr. P. Sweeney, and has been wrestling with amateurs as near his weight as are available in Gisborne. This district was represented also by I-I. Duckworth, welterweight, and G. Geddes, lightweight: Both were beaten, Duckworth by P. Razos, and Geddes by E. Wells, the last-mention-ed being the runner-up in. his class.
