LORRY CATCHES FIRE

Gallant work by two visitors to Napier, Mr. T. Bryce, Okurakura, and Mr. E. Bryce, Auckland, was responsible for the saving of all but one of a fleet of six or seven lorries belonging of Mr. J. H. Wakely, cartage contractor, Napier, which were endangered by an outbreak of fire in one of the vehicles in Napier. Both men received burns necessitating medical treatment while quelling the outbreak and removing the other lorries to safety, but they were fortunate to escape as lightly as they did, as there was a constant danger of petrol explosions.
