RIBBON PARADE

YOUNG DOGS ON SHOW FINE COCKER SPANIEL KENNEL CLUB FIXTURE A large number of entries was fielded for the ribbon parade held by the Gisborne Kennel Club on Saturday afternoon. The clogs shown were mostly young dogs and the quality of the entrants was high. The fixture proved to be a popular one and was well attended by exhibitors and spectators. All the. entrants were judged by Mr. Fred Redfearn. Results were as follows: — Puppy Stakes, under G months (3 entries) .--Miss 11. Barker’s Jan, 1. Puppy Stakes, 9 months (9 entries). —G. E. Law's Labrador, Duke of Greenacres, 1 1; Mrs. W. J. Newth s Samoyed, Arctic While Pearl, 2; B. Grey’s greyhound, Queen Minlo, 3. Puppy Stakes, 12 months (6 entries).—Mrs. S. Bardwell’s Pekinese, Ming Lee, 1; Mrs. W. J. Newth’s Samoyed, Arctic White Pearl, 2; R. T. Thom’s cocker, Creighton Clematis 3. Novice Stakes 18 entries).—C. F. Smith’s pointer, Shot, 1; G. E. Law’s Labrador, Duke of Greenacres, 2; Mrs. W. J. Newth’s Samoyed, Arctic White Pearl, 3. Junior Stakes (5 entries). —F. Hilton’s Irish Setter, ICahata of Antrim, 1; C. Lloyd’s greyhound, Long Span, 2; C. F. Smith’s pointer, Shot, 3.
