Recovering well - after being 12 points down at half-time, Wellington drew with Taranaki. 18 points all, at Athletic Park on Saturday. The game failed to produce much high class football, but in the second spell it was spectacular and exciting. The ground was in good order and the afternoon fine. The attendance was approximately 12,000.

Wright, Sherratt and Vales scored tries, and Thomas kicked wo penalty goals. For Taranaki, fohns kicked a penalty goal.
