MARATHON FOURSOME
CUP SEMI-FINAL DECIDED FIVE PREVIOUS TIES (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. : In what is regarded as a world’s record in a foursome match, a decision has at last been reached in the semi-final of the foursomes challenge cup competition at Waitikiri course, in which C. Deyell and J. W. Jackson and M. R. Blank and ;C. Cliff have tied on five previous occasions. Under ideal conditions on Saturday, Deyell and Jackson succeeded in securing a2 up and 1 victoi'y. These pairs have been playing at intervals for eight or nine weeks, and the other semi-final was decided five weeks ago.
