Deyell and J. W. Jackson and M. R. Blank and ;C. Cliff have tied on five previous occasions. Under ideal conditions on Saturday, Deyell and Jackson succeeded in securing a2 up and 1 victoi'y. These pairs have been playing at intervals for eight or nine weeks, and the other semi-final was decided five weeks ago.
