MINISTER OF FINANCE COLONEL RALSTON’S POST (Reed. Sent. 8, 9 a.m.) OTTAWA. Sept. G. The Canadian Prime Minister, Mr. VV. L. Mackenzie Kins, has strengthened the Cabinet by the appointment of Lieut.-Colonel J. L. Ralston, a distinguished ex-soldier and ex-. Minister of National Defence, as Minister of Finance, replacing Mr. C. Dunning, who has resigned owing to ill-health. Colonel Ralston is not a member of the House of Commons.
