CRUELTY TO A DOG
“You are lucky you are not being put in gaol. The photographs produced by the inspector have been far more eloquent than the evidence, for without them I do not think anybody would believe a dog would be treated like that,” said Mr. G. N. Morris, S.M., when fining Johann Christopher Blumhardt, a farmer, of Whangarei, £ 10 in the Whangarei Police Court on a charge of causing unnecessary suffering to a dog.
