‘LIBERATION NEAR’
MESSAGE TO CZECHS LABOR LEADER’S MESSAGE GREETINGS TO DOMINIONS HOPE FOR SECURITY (Reed. Sept. 7, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 6. The acting leader of the Labour Party, Mr. A. Greenwood, in a broadcast address to Czechoslovakia, said: “Your hour of liberation is near. Your tragedy has opened the eyes of the world to the cruel injustice now imposed upon, you, which must be righted. The British Labour Party declares that the Czechs and Slovaks "now under the iron heel of HenHitler shall soon be free.” Mr. Greenwood has sent a message to the, Labour Parties of Australia, New Zealand and Canada saying: “In the full realisation of our common aims lies the one sure hope for the security and happiness of the peoples of the world.”
