GERMAN CAMOUFLAGE

LONDON. July 25. The Germans have some interesting new ideas for camouflaging airfields from air observation. They dig two narrow parallel ruts across the airfield and fill them with water. From above they look like railway lines, and nobody would think of an airfield with a railway running across it. By spraying a wide band !>f creosote across the field they make it look as though there is a main road below.
