CHECK TO HOARDING (j!T\ r GROCERS’ DECISION {Per Press Association, i AUCKLAND, this day. The Auckland Master Grocers’ Association has advised its members that, until further notice, sugar is to be rationed in the maximum quantities of 41b. Customers should not be given the maximum quantity if their average purchases are less. A circular issued by the association says that any customers obviously attempting to hoard goods should be given the trea'ment they deserve. Grocers are requested to purchase sugar through the usual channels and not from merchants from whom they have not been in the habit of obtaining supplies. Grocers are reminded that it is an offence to hoard goods. They are asked to display in a prominent posi'ion the appeal to conserve supplies issued by Mr. F. R. Picot. food controller, If this is not satisfactory, some other system will have to be instituted.
