KOPUAWHARA NEWS
(1 liTiild Correspond (Mil.) The Hon. H. Semple and Mr. A. G. Ilultquist, M.P., have accepted invitations to attend a ball being arranged by the Kopuawhara branch of the Labour Party. Kopuawhara school children’s football and basketball teams met Opoutama School, Opoutama winning the football 9—o. and the basketball 15—7. ' Mrs. A. J. Read, Feilding, who has been on holiday at No. 3 Camp, returned home on Wednesday. Mrs. G. A. Reid returned home during the week-end with her infant son. Miss J. Deighton, Wairoa, arrived on Tuesday evening, and commenced her duties on Wednesday as the permanent assistant in charge of the infants and lower standards in the school at No. 3 Camp.
