Hutchins was admitted to the Cook Hospital on Sunday, and underwent an operation yesterday. He is reported to. be progressing satisfactorily.—Mr. YV. Hayden, who has been transferred tt> the stores branch in the Gisborne Public Works Department’s office, took up his duties there this week.—Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Green and family, Gisborne, have taken up residence at Bartletts. Miss Zona Colbert, who lias been the guest of Mrs. A. I-Icwson, has returned to her home.
