PRECAUTION IN LONDON TOUR OF INSPECTION (Rccd. Sept. G, 2.15 p.rn.) LONDON, Sept. 5. The King and Queen made their first public appearance since the outbreak of war when they visited this evening units of the civil defence scheme. Their Majesties drove from Buckingham Palace. The Queen, carrying her own gas mask, inspected the joint headquarters of the red cross society and St. loin Ambulance. The King and Queen subsequently toured the London civil defence posts.
