ULSTER LOYALTY

ENTIRE RESOURCES SERVICE OF THE EMPIRE RUSH FOR ENLISTMENT NEW GENERATION JOINING (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.18 p.m. RUGBY, Sept. 6. The Prime Minister of Northern Ireland, Viscount Craiga.von, has issued the following statement: “In no part of Hie United Kingdom has the call to duty been more deeply recognised than in loyal Ulster. Her people, in common with their fellow citizens throughout the United Kingdom, are throwing their full weight and entire resources into the conflict which has been forced upon Britain and the Empire. “Despite the fact that Ulster’s record in recruitment for the armed forces of the Crown has always been relatively as great as any other part of the United Kingdom, the enlistment during the past few days has been so overwhelming that the staffs of the various recruiting centres are experiencing the greatest difficulty in coping with the situation. Those who have played their part in the triumph of right over might are today joined by a new generation ready to man the defences and uphold the cause of freedom. “Ulster awaits any further demands which may be made upon her by the Imperial authorities and I am glad to say that good order and discipline prevail throughout.”
