NEW SPEED RECORD
RUSSIAN FLYERS’ CLAIM (Elec. Tci. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Sept. 7, 9 a.m.) MOSCOW, Sept. 5. Two civil pilots claim a neW speed record averaging 253 miles an hour over a triangular course, of 3192 miles. The previous record was held by the Frenchman, Rossi, at 250.0 miles miles an hour over 3150 miles.
