Gisborne Wedding

Holah—Leach Gown of White Panne Velvet A pretty wedding was solemnised in Holy Trinity Church, Gisborne, last Saturday afternoon, when Mabel Collins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Leach, Pine street, Mangapapa, was married to Clyde Sidney, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Holah, Tokomaru Bay. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. R. H. Morris, Tokomaru Bay, and Mr. D. G. Dyer presided at the organ. Decorations of arum lilies formed a picturesque setting for the wedding group and clusters of daffodils tied with white bows were attached to the ends of the pews in which the guest were seated. The 'bride, who was escorted by her 'brother, Mr. Keith Leach, wore r lovely modified princess frock of white panne velvet cut with a sligh. train. The V-shaped neckline war edged with accordion pleated georgette . and the long sleeves were closely moulded. The filmy veil of tulle was caugh over either ear with a spray of orange blossom, and a bouquet of while roses, lilies, double jonquils and heather was carried. The bridesmaid, Miss Emily Ledger, wore a frock of Dresden pink panne velvet. The shirred bodice, accented at tlie neckline with silver sequins, showed -short puff sleeves and the skirt was gracefully flared. A halo of delicate pink flowers and silver leaves was worn, lace mittens and a bbuquet of daffodils and blue irises completing the charming ensembie The two little flower girls. Maureen Leach. Auckland, niece of the bride, and Margaret Goodvea were attractive figures in frocks of pink velvet worn with pink and silver bandeaux and silver sandal Each carried a Victorian posy of pastel-tinted mixed flowers. The bridegroom was attended by his brother. Mr. R. Holal . Tokomaru Bay After the ceremony a reception was held in Le Grand Cafe. Mrs. Leach, mother of the bride, was wearing a smartly tailored navy blue frock relieved with touches of pink georgette, a hat to match, and furs. 'Mrs. 'Holah. mother ct‘ the bridegroom, wore a severely-cut tailored costume and a matching hat. Mrs. C. R. Munro. North Otago, chose a navy blue georgette frock, n hat to match, and a fur coat; Miss D. Holah, navy blue tailored suit and matching hat; Mrs. Leach sister-in-law of the bride, black georgette frock, with a hat to match, and a fur coat; Mrs. McDowell, aunt of the bride, was wearing furs with a brown tailored suit and mustard- , coloured hat; Mrs. Holah, aunt of the bridegroom, navy blue tailored suit and hat to match Ti e bridegroom’s present to th" bride was a crystal toilet set, the bridesmaid receiving a silver table - napkin ring and the flower girls, gold bangles. The bride travelled in a smart navy blue self striped suit and a felt hat to match.
