N.Z. MOTOR VEHICLES STATE REQUIREMENTS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Motor Vehicles Impressment .Emergency Regulations, 1939, authorise the Chief Impressment Officer, .he Director-General of the Post and Telegraph Department, to impress notor vehicles fliat are required by he armed services or for any na.onal emergency requirements. According to a statement issued toiay, however, it is not anticipated aat it would be necessary to imprest nany motor vehicles and the ownert jf vehicles, which may be taken over, will be served with warrants of impressment and will be required to deliver impressed vehicles at specified centres on the dates set out in the warrants. The regulations prescribe that the vehicles may be either taken on behalf of the Crown or on a hiring oasis.
