DEATH IN PLANE CRASH

YOUNG NEW ZEALANDER Advice has been received in Gisborne of the death of Mr. R. J. Gillingham, ’ formerly of Tirnuru, a nephew of Mr. S. E. Gillingham, Waerenga-o-kuri. Mr. Gillingham left New Zealand in June to take up a short service commission in the Royal Air Force in Britain and had only had a few weeks’ training when he met wiih his death in an aeroplane crash on August 31.
