GREETINGS TO BRITAIN
AITMY OF POLAND (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.15 p.m. RUGBY, Sept. 5. The chief of the Imperial General Staff, General Sir Edmund Ironside, has received the following message from the Polish commander, Marshal Smigley-Rydz:—• “At this moment when the British Empire has taken, up arms at the side of Poland against a nation which has violated the ideals of liberty and justice, I beg to request you to convey to the glorious army of His Brittannic Majesty the comradely greetings of the Polish army.”
