AUSTRALIAN ROTARY
CONFERENCE OPENED MEMBERSHIP OF 3500 (Reed. Sept. 6, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 6. . The all-Australia Rotary conference, which was attended by several New Zealand delegates, was opened yesterday by a recorded speech by the Federal Attorney-General, Mr. W. M. Hughes, who was Prime Minister of Australia during the war period, while Rotarian Ralph Maynard, president of the Sydney Rotary Club, welcomed the 1000 delegates. The representative of Rotary International, Dr. Crawford McCullough, announced that Australia now had 3500 Rotarians.
