CLIPPER AT HONOLULU

12 HOURS FROM CANTON IS. EXCELLENT CONDITIONS RETURN SURVEY FLIGHT (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. After staying at Canton Island, the California Clipper completed the third stage of her return survey flight from Auckland to San Francisco yesterday, when she flew 1903 miles to Honolulu in exactly 12 hours. Leaving Canton Island at 4.50 a.tn., New Zealand time, the flying boat experienced excellent conditions and landed at Honolulu at 4.50 p.m. Although no official advice lias been received, Pan-American Airways’ officials at Auckland believe that the California Clipper will leave Honolulu this afternoon on the 2440mile overnight flight to San Francisco. If this programme is carried out, the machine will land in America five days after leaving Auckland
