TAUPO POWER SUPPLY

A scheme for a power station at the Huka Falls to provide electricity for Taupo was explained by the chairman of the Taupo Road Board, Dr. S. Armstrong, at a meeting of ratepayers. The scheme would cost £15,000. A water supply scheme for Taupo was also explained at the meeting. The water would be pumped from the Waikato River to a large reservoir on the high levels near Tauhara Mountain. This scheme would also cost £15,000. These schemes arc to be submitted to the ratepayers for approval.
