The German official wireless station issued the following proclamation by Herr Hitler: “We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.’' Proclamations wel'e also issued to the German army and the people in which the theory of living space was used ag an indirect reason for Germany’s war against Poland. Herr Hitler left the Chancellery during a complete black-out. The Russian Ambassador, M. Shkvartzev was received with military honours. He was received by Herr Hitler and the Foreign Minister, Herr von Ribbentrop.
