EXCHANGES CLOSED
EMERGENCY PROVISIONS WOOL DEMAND SOLID (Reed Sept. 5, noon.) LONDON, Sept. 4. The Stock Exchange remains closed until further notice. The committee has made temporary regulations, fixing minimum prices for ceitam securities and all bargains made must be for cash. Tne Gold Exchange market and the Liverpool Corn Market closed to-day, owing to the closing of the banks. The Rubber Exchange is closed until Thursday. The Metal Exchange reopens on Wednesday. The Baltic Exchange has announced that under the food-control orders, trading in cereals and products for private account is prohibited. - At Bradford, transactions in wool tops are temporarily prohibited; Eventually private business will be permitted on'a maximum-price basis. Business in yarns for the Home trade" is permitted. There is a moderate inquiry, with prices very firm and fully up to late rates. The Paris Bourse opened with the Franc steady.
