TRANSPORT OPERATORS
The announcement was made by Mr. E. J. Phelan when sitting as No. 1 District Licensing Authority in Pukekohe that in future motor lorry operators wishing to engage cn, com slruction work for the Public Works Department would require special licenses to do so. He said complaints had been received that lorry owners with general goods carriage licenses had been largely engaging in public works on occasions with the result that their services had not been available for business men and others when required.
