AIR RAID WARDENS
SPECIAL COMMITTEES NAVAL CALLING UP (Reed. Sept. 1, Noon.) LONDON, August 31. The Government has ordered the constitution of Air Raid Precautions emergency committees. The work in public shelters is being accelerated by working 24-hour shifts. Twenty per cent of the whole-time Air Raid Precautions services are being called up, including auxiliary fire services.
The naval calling up affects retired officers, and pensioners, naval reserve classes B and D and the fleet reserve including the submarine service-
