FOUR MAIN POINTS
STAND BY HITLER POSSIBLE CONSULTATIONS POLISH NEGOTIATIONS RUSSIA AND BRITAIN QUESTION OF TERRITORIES (Kloc. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Sept. 1, 11 am.) NEW YORK, August 31. The Washington correspondent ofthe New York Times states that according to apparently authentic information received in diplomatic circles, Herr Hitler, in replying to Britain, made four points. They were:— '. (1) He is prepared to negotiate with Poland. (2) He desired a Polish negotiator with the Reich tb visit Berlin to-day. (3) Before undertaking any territorial guarantees he would have to consult Russia. (4) Before signing any agreement with Poland he would have to consult Britain. These points were apart from the well understood condition that Herr Hitler is demanding as a prerequisite the immediate possession of the Polish Corridor and Danzig. Replying to Britain, he Is reported to .have declared the perequisite on some Other point to be unsatisfactory, but to have urged that negotiations be kept open. London is understood to entertain a genuine belief that Herr Hitler will do at least this much.
