All stocks strengthened and turnover was the heaviest for weeks. BROKEN-IN HORSES '
MATAWHERO SALE Broken-in horse's, excluding heavy types, were offered on the second day of the Matawhero Horse Fair yesterday, the yarding totalling 75. There was a fairly good demand throughout, particularly for horses weighing enough for packing. Several of these realised £9 10s to £l4, with others in the vicinity of £8 to £9. In the hack classes an attractive entity from Mr. D. Campbell, Whatatutu, made £l3 10s, £9, £l2 ss, £ll, and £l2. Some of these values were a little below the reserve, which was obtained as soon as the horses left the selling ring. Other hack figures went up to £l2, with a good number making £7 to £9. Ponies brought £3 5s to £6.
