YOUNG MAN’S FRAUDS CITY FIRM’S LOSSES (Per Press Association.) (CHRISTCHURCH, this day. By opening accounts with different banks under assumed names, Roy Poison, aged 32, obtained numerous amounts of money and goods from citjr firms of a total value of £B7 before he was apprehended by the police. This morning he appeared before Mr. E. C. Levvcy, iS.<M„ in. the Police Court on 'l2 charges of obtaining goods and money by false pretences. On each of the .first two .Charges he 'was sentenced to six months’ hard labour, the sentences to be cumulative. He was convicted and discharged on the others.
