FURTHER ATTACKS
CHINESE CURRENCY PAYMENT OF CUSTOMS (Reed. August 31, 11.30 a.m.) TOKIO, August 29. The Japanese made a new move against the Chinese '.dollar, when the puppet Government of Nanking decreed that all import and export duties must be paid at the Shanghai Customs in the Japanese-backed Huahsmg currency. Chinese currency is only accepted at a rate which the customs authorities will announce each day.
