PAY IN OFF SEASON

A protest against the proposal of the Government to force freezing works companies to pay their employees during the off season is to be lodged by the Darvagille-Arapo-hue branch of the Farmers’ Union, according to a decision reached at a recent meeting. Members were unanimous that increased wages to freezing works employees would be reflected in increased costs to farmers. It was decided to write to the Government protesting against the payment of freezing works employees during the off season.
