LIQUOR CONFISCATED
Thirty-five bottles of beer seized by 'he police on premises occupied by a Chinese who was subsequently charged with selling liquor without a license were ordered) to be confiscated by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., when giving a reserved judgment tin the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington. When the Chinese was convicted the question of confiscating the liquor ■ was argued between the magistrate and counsel for the defence. The magistrate said that he had come to the decision that an order Confiscating the liquor was obligatory.
