MANOEUVRES IN EGYPT
SHIPS, PLANES AND TROOPS CAIRO, Aug. 16. The British Mediterranean fleet, 100 planes, and motorised troops took part in manoeuvres near Alexandria and Mersa Matruh (on the Libyan border). The manoeuvres were the biggest in the history of the Near East. Alexandria was “blacked-out.”
