CAUGHT IN MACHINERY
MILL-HAND’S FORTITUDE Two fractures of the arm were suffered by Mr. R. Wilkin, when his hand became caught in the collar of a spindle at Levien Brothers' sawmill, at Taringamotu. It was only by sheer strength that Mr. Wilkin was able .to free himself, his coat, jersey and’shirt being torn off by the machine. Mr. Wilkin was admitted to the Taumarunui Hospital, but was discharged next day. He is to be married in a fortnight, to Miss Levien, a daughter of one of his employers, and, despite his injuries, the ceremony has not been postponed.
