JONES BEATS FORSTER

TWO FALLS TO ONE

(For Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. In the poorest bout staged at Wanganui this season, Paul Jones beat Frank Forster by two falls to one. The wrestling at times was farcical and when the referee gave the verdict to Jones, the contestants were given a hostile reception. Jones secured the opening fall with a figure four body scissors in the third round. Forster equalled with a press in the fifth round when he pulled Jones from the ropes, a fall coming with surprising case. When the next round opened, Forster missed with a dropkick and Jones fell on him to score a fall with a press. Jones appeared surprised to be given a fall.
