GISBORNE SERVICES

Special prayers for peace were offered in Anglican, Catholic and Nonconformist churches in Gisborne yesterday in view cf the tenseness of the international situation. The Rev. K. Liggett, who .officiated at Holy Trinity last evening, changed the order of service to include the litany, and his sermon dealt largely with the difficulties faced in, Europe at present. Prayers were offered, too, toy the different congregations for Divine guidance for the rulers of the nation.
