Motorists Fined

As a result of a minor 'collision at Matawai recently, a motorist, William James Evans, was charged in the Police Court this morning with failing to keep as close as practicable to his left and also with failing to be the holder of a driver’s license. On the first charge Evans was fined 10s and costs and on the second was fined £1 and costs. William Bilski, for having no warrant of fitness, was fined 10s and costs, and Joseph Grey, for riding an unlighted cycle, was fined 5s and costs. Arthur Percy Kerr was fined 5s and costs for having no tail-light for bis motor vehicle. It was pointed out that Kerr was on his way to have the light repaired when he was stopped by the police.
